That’s my Guitar

Posted by Everyday Healy on February 28, 2009

Little Elizabeth is kind of interested in Guitar, even before mummy and daddy went to India. And, India is a country which full of music. Thus, mummy and daddy actually came across many street sellers who are selling Tablas and Sitars there. So, we actually bought our little princess a Sitar, besides the tabla. And now, the tabla is her drum. On the other hand, the Sitar has become her guitar. Ha!

Tabla

Sitar

I know they don’t look great. But, they are definitely unique. As we can see that they are handmade from simple natural resources such as bamboo, coconut shell, tin, strings and dried cow’s skin. Thus, this is absolutely precious. :P

Well, most importantly she loves them all. She plays with them almost everyday. Well… In business, we need POS system. But, we always need toys, lots of interesting toys for our growing up toddlers.

Unfortunately, non of us can play a nice rhythm out of  the Sitar. May be mummy should ask for help from Lizzy’s music teacher.  :(

Sorry, Daddy.

Posted by Everyday Healy on February 27, 2009

It’s Friday again. We used to visit the bookshop every Friday. But, that was months ago. Obviously, this home education plan has failed. Hahaha……

But, we can start it all over again. At least, we will do it today. And, mummy is going to make an inquiry about the programs for 2 years old in “Vital Years” too. In fact, sending her to school and all the other learning programs actually help in discipline her. Of course, at the same time she will learn useful new knowledge. :)

Mummy don’t mean to be strict. But, at least she must learn to be cooperative, independent, productive, responsive, patient, alert, friendly and polite. ( Wow! Is that too much for a baby? LOL!) Of course, something has to be done at home too. And, mummy was so glad to see her sincerely apologized to her daddy a few days ago.

She will always say thank you when we get something for her. And, there is no problem at all to hear her saying “sorry” when she drop something on the floor or did something wrong unintentionally. However, that was the first time she apologized for the fault which she purposely did it. :P

Mummy: “Liz, how can you hit your daddy so hard on the face? That’s hurt. And, very rude. Say sorry.”

Little Lizzy immediately show her long, grumpy face and roll her eyes on mummy.

Mummy: ” Say sorry!”

Liz: “No.”

Mummy:” Why not? You should say sorry cause you hurt daddy. Say sorry now. Mummy loves you.”

This little cheeky totally ignored it. Then, started to play with daddy and keep laughing.

Daddy: ” Say sorry.”

Waa……. immediately she cried out loud.

She stopped within minutes and start playing with daddy again.

Mummy: ” Liz, see… Daddy loves you so much. He always play with you and never get mad with you. Why don’t you say sorry for hurting him? Mummy will be proud of you, if you say sorry for what you did just now.”

Then, she sit still, thinking quietly for a while before she looked into her daddy’s eyes.

Out of the sudden, we heard the word: “Sorry, daddy.”  came out of her mouth.

That was amazing! Mummy and daddy were clapping. Frankly, we were so touched. Well done, Elizabeth! :P

Only Talk to Me

Posted by Everyday Healy on February 26, 2009

Mummy was so packed. Mummy needs so much rest and lots of own free time to catch up with my drama series and my books after I came back from India. So sorry for neglecting your blog, baby. 1000x of sorry! :(

Somehow, these are not the only reasons. Little Elizabeth is getting really demanding these days. That’s not something easy to handle. As the situation is quite bad. Daddy and mummy can’t even sit down and talk to each other when she is around.

So? What are we supposed to do, little naughty?

Only! Talk! To! Me!

God! Is this so called “The Single Child Syndrome”? She already get a lot of attention. But, it seems this little one wants all the attention now.  She will try to do piano performance, dance performance, ask mummy to sing, show us her books and keep pointing to this and that, then keep asking “What’s this?” or “What’s that?”.

If  we still never stop, then she will make it more direct — keep calling mummy… mummy… mummy… mummy… or daddy… daddy… daddy. Of course, this conventional method always works best! LOL!

Gosh! As a beauty conscious modern lady, we may think we need diet pills. In fact, as a young, new mother, at times we just need Panadol more than anything else. Don’t you think so? :(

Mummy! Car!

Posted by Everyday Healy on February 17, 2009

Little Elizabeth is in her school now. However, she will cry each time mummy is going to leave her in the school. Mummy feels so bad to see her crying. She will say: “Car. Mummy! Car.”. And, she will pull me towards my car.

“I know, baby. Mummy knows you want to go back with me. But, please stay. Every kid need to go to school.” So, mummy got to go in with her. Attracts her with toys, persuade a bit, play with her a while. Luckily, she will stop crying after 5 to 10 minutes most the time. Thank God. It’s time for mummy to slip away then.

Teacher Lin said she is ok later on. So talkative. Ha! Strange, aye? She will stood up quickly and started to get prepared when she was told “It’s time to school” while she was still sleeping at home. She will even grab her bag and tumbler, then hop into the car in no time.

Then, why is she crying once I leave her?  Is it because mummy and daddy went to India and leaving her at home with granny and “kakak” for a week. Thus, she was afraid that mummy will leave her alone in the school for so long again? Is that so, baby?  Oh! So sorry, baby!

Anyway, it is rather obvious that she became more clingy, always “mummy, mummy” after I came back from India. I think more effort has to be done to really calm her down from this fear. :(

Dragon Dance

Posted by Everyday Healy on February 13, 2009

Chinese New Year is over. Everybody else will be celebrating Valentines day tomorrow. But, my girl is still in the mood of celebrating CNY. She is still performing Dragon Dance almost everyday. Especially after daddy bought a drum for her.

Yeah… it’s all the way from India. And, she loves it so much! :P

Now, daddy and mummy are free. As we are the one who created the drum sound before she got this drum. But, it’s fun! Have a look!

How about that? Dragon dance without the Dragon head. Hahaha……

Well, she does have a dragon head. And, she actually can swing and shake with the dragon head quite well. But, mummy has yet to record a video on it. I know, lousy mummy! Hehe……

By the way, this is the small dragon head that fits her.

Frankly, mummy always enjoy her performance so much. She is so gorgeous, isn’t she? Thanks to daddy. Mummy is pretty sure that this part of her performing talent is definitely from daddy’s genes. May be I can prove this in the future. As the paternity test  may even proves this in the near future, other than just proving the father and daughter relationship.
