Build N Roll Xylophone

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 13, 2008

Elizabeth loves music and anything that can create sound. And, she is really creative. She will beat her own stomach if you ask her where is your drum. hahaha…

Anyway, she had destroyed her small Xylophone long ago. Now, mummy replaced the new Build N Roll Xylophone for her since few weeks ago.

This is the educational wooden toys that has quality craftsmanship and non-toxic color coating. It’s quite expensive, RM 100+. But, at least Elizabeth hardly get cut by the sharp ends from lousy workmanship. Also, she won’t accidentally ate the coloring with its safe coating. Mummy feels safe and at ease. πŸ˜›

Elizabeth loves it so much initially. She was so excited to see the balls rolling down from each level. But, she started to get board after 2 weeks. LOL!

At least, mummy has seen her trying to put other things on the “rail” and experimenting weather they will move down or not. The answer is no. Only round balls will. She seems get it. She also learned to catch the balls which flowing half way down from the rail. πŸ˜›

She loves to drop and roll the balls on the floor too. May be because by doing so there are sounds. Also, initially she can only hold on one ball. Now, she can play with 2 balls at a time. Besides, she even knock 2 balls together to create sound. However, the Xylophone does not appear attractive to her.

Anyway, she also learned that she is not supposed to simply throw the balls as they hit her head once or twice.Β  hahaha……

I am driving

Posted by Everyday Healy on May 23, 2008

Little Elizabeth enjoy driving. She will “drives” daddy’s car for a while as daddy drive home from work. She will twist and turn the steering as she is an expert. She is driving. It’s just that the car is not moving. hahaha……

But, this time the car is moving. Fantastic! πŸ˜›

Oh! Don’t let go the steering while driving! That’s very dangerous! 😯

What are you doing, baby?Don’t look up while driving, Quickly look to the front! Waw… That’s close! πŸ˜›

What wrong with the side? No side mirror? Oh! What a car!

Oh! I am so tired. Let’s change to auto drive mode now. Just like auto pilot. So relax! πŸ˜‰

By the way, you shouldn’t be driving, my girl. You have neither passport nor driving license. We just continue shopping, ok? πŸ˜›

Old car

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 16, 2008

Β

Β

Elizabeth really had a great time with her one and only car. My maid used to tie a string and pulled her around the garden since she don’t know how to “drive” yet. We take turns actually.Sometimes, mummy was the one who pushed her around.

But, she fell from her car a few times. As there is no safety features to hold her. Luckily the falls were not serious. Still, it’s dangerous. Thus now, she spend most of her time in the garden with her new bicycle. It’s has great safety features. :)

However, mummy don’t feel like leaving the car at home anymore. It’s space consuming. But, used cars victoria will only buy the real used car. Absolutely not a used toy car. In this case, may be mummy have to give it away. πŸ˜‰

Buy Educational Toys

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 14, 2008

Do you buy educational toys for your children, especially toddlers. I believe in interactive toys. Thus, most of Elizabeth’s toys are those that so called “educational toys”. Anyway, we should find the interactive toys that suitable for our kids’ age group.

Also, music can be very stimulating. In my opinion, music has the power to stimulate our babies brain function. So, we should look for toys with interesting music. In this context, mummy likes “Leap Frog” so much!

I am amaze with the “Leap Frog” creative ways of music presentation. Somehow, it is so different from others. Very joyful! Something that can really make us dance. πŸ˜‰

I am so glad that daddy bought the “Leap Frog” learning table for baby Elizabeth as her 1st birthday present. Very interesting! It’s one of her favorite. Besides, it is just as solid as billet grilles. πŸ˜›

Full of Toys

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 13, 2008

Last week, daddy just bought an expensive rocking chair for Elizabeth. But, she needs a bicycle to have some outdoor fun too. These days, she keep pointing to the bicycle whenever she saw it.

Thus, mummy bought a new bicycle for her this week.

There is an extra steel given to fix under it to make it into a stay put rocking bicycle. Innovative and lovely! πŸ˜›

With “Push Handle”, “Feet Rest”, basket at the back and a few choices of music by simply pressing a button infront!

Elizabeth loves bees. It’s all because of the cartoon “Bee Movie”. So, mummy get a bee bicycle for her. Mummy finally found the product from Taiwan at “Teik Seng”. The quality is so much better than those form China. It’s solid and has fine workmanship.Β Β  And, the price different is only RM5.

Anyway, our house seems full of toys now. But, our initial plan is to add in nice furnitures not toys. May be mummy and daddy has spend too much on toys. If mummy really want to follow the initial plan, then mummy got to look for discount furniture now. :)

My Chair

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 9, 2008

Mummy keep wondering weather should get baby Elizabeth a baby chair. As she always sit on the floor and raise her head high up to watch TV. This sitting position seems might cause her hunch back.

Finally, mummy made up my mind.

This is the rocking chair that mummy choose for baby Elizabeth. Elizabeth loves swing. But, she needs a chair now. So rocking chair seems to be the best choice. It is both swing and chair.

This Fisher Price latest rocking chair is so nice. So bright and colorful! Besides, it has very flexible and easy to fix mechanism. Very innovative! Really amazing!

Mummy should bought it since Elizabeth was still an infant. As this is an infant rocker with toys, music and vibration facility. It’s simply a fantastic baby massage chair. Somehow, it can change up to 6 different positions. Thus, it can even turn to a chair that suits a 4 years old toddler.

Most importantly, She loves it! So even though it’s expensive, still worth it. Am I right, daddy? Mummy needs a chair too! The exclusive shiatsu massage chair. πŸ˜›

Buy Swing

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 3, 2008

Last few days when there was no electricity supply for our house, mummy took Elizabeth put. We went window shop. We were wondering in ToysRus for so long. Mummy was looking for tiny little sofa at ToysRus. As mummy feels Elizabeth need a sofa, so that she can rest properly on the sofa while watching TV.

Mummy just can’t find it. Instead, Elizabeth was interested with the baby swing. So, mummy put her into the swing for a while just to make her happy.

I really don’t mind buying one for her as she really enjoy the swing. As gold investing is good for our kids’ future but we as parents need to invest in toys too. As that’s what our baby will appreciate now. They will only appreciate gold or other investments when they grown up to be an adult like us.

Anyway, she is practically overweight for the swing. Those are for babies who are less than 20 lbs. However, mummy will never give up. Mummy will keep searching for a comfortable and safe swing for baby Elizabeth.

The light twister is moving

Posted by Everyday Healy on March 28, 2008

A few months back in January, Elizabeth received an interesting toy. It’s the “Winnie the Pooh” light twister. But, she don’t really enjoy playing with it as she can’t make it twist at all. :(

Mummy, it’s moving… Is that means I finally learn how to handle it? 😯

Yes! Little Lizzy made it! Now, she is strong. She managed to press the button harder. Thus, the lighting were twisting. It’s really satisfying to see our baby growing up and getting more capable! *Sob* *Sob* πŸ˜›

Mummy is so proud of you, Elizabeth! You are doing so well. :)

Bubbles

Posted by Everyday Healy on March 18, 2008

Mummy always like to bring Elizabeth to Batu Ferrenggi night market. She enjoy exploring all the things sold there. So, mummy, daddy and Elizabeth were there last Saturday night. And, that’s where little Lizzy get her new toy — bubble gun.

She don’t play with this bubble gun. She likes the bubbles instead. So who is going to shot the bubble out of the gun? Daddy of course! πŸ˜›

I am fantasizing in my bubble land……

That’s like tickle! It’s funny! But, I love it! πŸ˜›

Luckily this is just bubbles. It is not as solid as golf balls. My little princess just won’t feel hurt even though she got hit by them. πŸ˜›

Oh, Bubble… Bubble… don’t go away! Take me along. I wan to fly too. hahahahaha…….

In fact, Elizabeth always get very excited when she saw something that is floating or flying in the air. I think she might wants to fly too. πŸ˜†

My Tiny Umbrella

Posted by Everyday Healy on March 15, 2008

Now is raining season, so Elizabeth need an umbrella too!

“Ok. Ok. Mummy will give you an umbrella. But, don’t carry it outside of the house, especially when it’s raining.”

“Why?”

See… Now you know why. It’s a handmade fabric umbrella. It’s tiny, cute and beautiful, isn’t it? But, if you bring it out into the rain, you will surely get wet. hahaha……

Mummy knows Elizabeth likes umbrella since young. so, mummy bought this back all the way from Hong Kong. Mummy thought that I can still make it a decorative items at home, after Elizabeth don’t play with it anymore. :)

Anyway, Elizabeth loves it.

She will carry it, kiss it, turn it around and also……

“Why must you do this, Elizabeth? Don’t you understand that this umbrella will be spoiled if you keep stepping on it?”Β  😯

Stop it…….

Wear pants

Posted by Everyday Healy on February 20, 2008

While sometimes our baby can really give us so many surprises. As baby Elizabeth playing with her new baby doll, all of the sudden she walk to her “closet”, which is just a box. LOL!Β  I know… I should buy one proper closet for her, right? Ok. Ok.

So, she just walk to the box to get one of her pants and throw it to the baby. Is that mean she is trying to help the baby doll to get a pants to put on? Hopefully that is.

Can you see a big baby pantie placing on top of this tiny baby? hahaha…

Anyway, that’s cute! Really cute! πŸ˜›

Do you think she has learn to feed the baby with milk too? Oh! I just can’t wait to see that. That’s so much fun! πŸ˜† Great work, little Lizzy. Let’s keep it up, ok?

I got a Baby

Posted by Everyday Healy on February 20, 2008

Mummy is kind of proud that Baby Elizabeth has been very friendly and loving most of the time. She definitely like to make friends. At the same time, I guess she has grown up. Thus, she has learn to be kind and loving to little babies. Of course, if you ask mummy how and when she started to learn all these good practices, mummy can only answer: “Don’t know!”

Anyway, as a parent mummy certainly knows that Elizabeth actually need more toys or books if she has been bored lately. So, other than planning for little Lizzy to attend Musikgarten, mummy has bought her some interesting toys today.

Hi, Baby… Why don’t you look at me?

Alright! I will crawl together with you!

Look at how much my little princess enjoy playing with “her baby”. πŸ˜›

Hopefully I get to show you tomorrow on how little Elizabeth hold closely and lean on her baby as I didn’t have a chance to snap the scene just now. And, I really got to make a record on it as it’s so cute!

At present, she is already sleeping soundly. Zzzz…. Obviously, she had “play hard”! πŸ˜›

Her new “Tomato Head”

Posted by Everyday Healy on January 25, 2008

Elizabeth, do you know that you are a typical soft toys princess since 8 to 9 months old? Make sure you don’t fall in love with guys just because of a few soft toys, ok? LOL!Β  I think it’s a bit too early to discuss this topic with you. Silly mummy! πŸ˜›

Actually there was funny scene that really amuse mummy and daddy in Wednesday. It’s a public holiday because of “Thaipusum”. So, daddy and mummy bring you out to “Kai Kai”.Β  Mummy certainly knows you like soft toys. Thus, we walk into a soft toys shop together.

I guess there is something mummy just realized at that time. Elizabeth has grown up and become smarter. You are so excited to see all the soft toys. You want to grab them all. So mummy and daddy quickly take you out from the shop. But, you have struggled hard and insisted to go back into it. In and out trice.

Finally, mummy gave in. I let you choose among 2 soft toys. One square and one round. You quickly grab the round cuttie and run out from the shop immediately. 😯 OMG! I can’t believe my eyes. That’s embarrassing. Baby, do you know that this act can be considered steeling? LOL!

At last, mummy quickly grab you and take you to the counter. End up, Daddy paid for another soft toys again.

Anyway, mummy and daddy have fun though. You are so cute! Unbelievable! πŸ˜›

I wondered how many soft toys will you have until you are 5?

I drive

Posted by Everyday Healy on January 25, 2008

Look how far she has enjoyed herself while waiting to see her paed! It seems like she is interested in driving now. Daddy, do you think we should get a car for her? πŸ˜›

I am afraid that even I get one for her, she will get bored within days. So may be we shouldn’t buy fore her. And, it’s the best idea to let her look forward to this little “toy car” in the hospital, so that she will be happy to see the paed. Ha!

Yesterday I took Elizabeth to her paediatrician for injection. I have forgotten weather this time it’s polio or chicken pox. I guess kids nowadays just can’t get rid of all these injections. Little Elizabeth has injection almost every month since born and it will only slow down after she turn 2 I guess.

I am concern as these days she starts to cry every time she sees her paed. Poor girl! Luckily she will stop crying once the injection done. In fact, I am lucky to have this little one who seems don’t cry terribly most of the time. Tough girl! πŸ˜›

It seems I have waste my money

Posted by Everyday Healy on January 23, 2008

Elizabeth likes to have playmates while she is bathing. Besides, she likes to rearrange all the standing small dolls on the rack. Thus, daddy get her “The Pooh and friends”.

Anyway, these 4 is yet to get into the tub with little Lizzy. But, I am going to do it this evening as I find that she don’t really like to play with them in the hall. πŸ˜† So, I thought may be they can starts to become her best friends in the bath tub.:P

So, she gets only 4 simple rubber dolls and one Pooh light twister from Hong Kong Disneyland. Strange though! As I saw most of the kids in Disneyland are crazy over the light twisters. But, she don’t really like it either. It seems I have waste my money! LOL!

I am thinking can it be she already gets bored with “Pooh”? Then, what will she like after 1? Disney Princesses? *Scraching the head*.

Mummy is getting lazy…

Posted by Everyday Healy on January 21, 2008

In fact, I am back from Hong Kong 1 week ago. Anyway, poor girl! As this blog of hers is left untouched for more than 2 weeks. Frankly, mummy has no time to blog about Elizabeth for the past 1 week. As there are still many things from Hong Kong that mummy wants to post in her other blogs. So sorry, dear… Will you forgive me?

But from now onwards, I am going to blog about my little princess again. That’s what I promised.

First of all, I have left out her monthly development milestone for this month. And, my girl has grown up a lot. She is so cute now. Busy talking to everyone but unfortunately no one understand her. Anyway, mummy still manged to guess some of her languages.

She still loves balloon like nothing else. Last night, I brought her to Gurney Plaza again. And, she is busy looking for balloon once she saw other kids is holding balloons. I really wish I can took a few pics of the moment she saw the balloons. She is “jumping for joy”, mumbling and smiling with a chicky look. πŸ˜›

Of course if the balloon burst, she will be frighten. And, this time is no longer the helium balloon with thick plastic. This is just the ordinary one. Thus, I choose the smallest one for her. It’s safe as small balloon hardly burst even of she hit the balloon here and there when she is holding it! πŸ˜‰

And, it’s a small red heart shape balloon. It’s sweet, isn’t it? Mummy love you, baby.

Elizabeth likes Balloon

Posted by Everyday Healy on December 25, 2007

When our whole family were having some drinks and enjoyed ourselves at Gurney Place, Elizabeth were having fun walking and playing around there too. And, she get really excited when she saw the balloon of the little girl sitting at the next table. At first, she keep looking at it, then she began to make noise and insist to go near it. At last, she just loose her patient and was about to cry…

Immediately, I asked the family at the next table where they bought this balloon. And, I quickly promised her that I will get one for her now. I think she can perfectly understand us now. Once I carried her, she stop her tantrum.

So, we walk all the way to the stall. Once she saw it, she was so happy. She keep smiling while pointing to the balloons. And, she even want to choose her own. That surprise me actually. I did not expect her toΒ  reject the one I chose for her. But, she did. And, she point to the other one and happily accept it when I get the one she chose for her. LOL! My girl really has grown up! πŸ˜†

She enjoyed playing with her Penguin Balloon so much for the whole night. Even for the next day and now.Β  And, she can show me the eyes and the mouth of the penguin, if I asked her to. On the other hand, she will point to the mouth of the penguin and then her own mouth if no one asked her. I guess she just want to tell us that’s the mouth. Mummy’s little baby, you are so cute! πŸ˜›

She asked for it

Posted by Everyday Healy on November 27, 2007

This is Elizabeth’s new toy phone that daddy just bought for her this Sunday. She already learn how to talk on a phone about a month ago. Thus, she likes phone. Most importantly, she will ask for something whenever we bring her to a shop. If she has nothing in her hands while when we walk out from the shop, she will start crying. OMG! She might just be another future shopping queen!

I think by now she can understand perfectly that we buy things from shops and bring them home. So, this is what her father get for her at the mart inside Caltex petrol station, when we stop for fill up. It’s about RM5. Girls are girls. This phone with pearl string seems please her. However, It’s better to cut this pearl string out of the phone, just in case she might swallow the beads if the string accidentally break. πŸ˜›

I guess we just have to get ready that once our baby reach certainly level of understanding, they will start being demanding in terms of material wants. And, I guess at this 11th month stage, it’s just the beginning. πŸ˜†

Well, That’s it! Not very excited. Kind of curious. Busy looking around. But, not afraid at all. Brave girl! But, why don’t you turn around and look at me when mummy keep calling you?

Toy of the day

Posted by Everyday Healy on November 15, 2007

Mummy is getting busy with other matters nowadays. She don’t blog much for the past 2 weeks. But I guess she just need some good rest. Then… here she is again! She better did as I don’t want her to miss out all my moments. These magical moments of mine being a baby would be something worth keeping records of. That’s what my dad said. He is the one who only left with one piece of baby photo for his early childhood. Poor thing, aye?

So… what am I doing today that worth noting down? Mum thinks should be this one below.

I just play with this soft and sticky ball for the whole afternoon while listening to classical musics together with mum and grandma. I think those are great songs. Thus, I even clap for them.

This ball with smiley faces was bought long ago. That time I am just about 4 months.I don’t appreciate it at all at that time. Mummy asked dad to get it for me when someone sell it in a restaurant, thinking of I might love to see the multicolors light blinking. But, mum told me I don’t even look at it when I first got it.

However, I start to fall in love with it since 1 or 2 months back until now. I enjoy swing it like “yoyo”. And, it’s an interesting toy cause once I hit it in the ground, there are lights in it start blinking. Blue… Red… Purple and green. Nice colors. πŸ˜›

Anyway, I am wearing one of my new shirt which mom just bought it for me last Saturday in Parkson, Gurney Plaza. Singlet is always the best for me as I am always hot! πŸ˜›

I think mum is going to show you more of my new clothings. Yeah… she bought many of them last weekend.

My Patrick

Posted by Everyday Healy on October 21, 2007

Look at what I’ve got here! This is my Patrick. Mmm….. I like Patrick. I will roll together with Patrick on mummy’s bed. That’s sweet and fun! But I still prefer Harry as my new friend — Patrick don’t know how to bark like Harry. Instead, These 2 days, daddy keep barking! hahahaha

I certainly know that he is just trying to convince me thatΒ  Patrick does bark! Oh! Dad… It doesn’t matter… All that matter was you, thanks for playing with me every night. You certainly make me laugh and have fun like there is no tomorrow. Love you, Dad. πŸ˜›

So… How is Patrick, Auntie? Handsome? Cute?

Dad… I like Patrick. Thanks for buying this cutie for me. At least it won’t bite! Instead, I can bite him. πŸ˜› Mummy will get me Patrick to bite once I started to bite her. I think Daddy bought Patrick for me also to protect mummy. hahahaha….

Me and my new car

Posted by Everyday Healy on October 10, 2007

Look at the photos above. Elizabeth seems getting more and more excited with her new little car. :)

This toy car was bought by her grandparents (my PIL) for shoppingmum’s kids to play in their house. This is basically one of the spare toy for their grandchildren in their house. Then, I brought it home last 2 weeks as Elizabeth like it so much. And also, no one actually play with it there, so MIL suggested that we to bring it home for her.

However, once It’s in the house. She is not excited with it anymore. Worst still she seems getting bored with it! She will just pushing it around and will not sit on it. Strange!Β  She is not the type of baby who get bored with toys easily. She still like her walker so much. But why not this car? *puzzled*

Daddy… I love you! I like this house and the colorful balls so much! Love You, Love You, Love you!

Yea… Daddy bought this for her last Friday while waiting for mummy to finish my hair wash. Thinking of surprising her and make her happy after all she had suffered so much in the hospital. It’s from Toys”R” Us. Buy for her… And also, play together with her! :)

Just another “Daddy & Elizabeth” time. :)
