Let’s play in the bath tub

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 26, 2008

Elizabeth really love to bathe. In fact, she likes to play with water. The jacuzzi or bath tub is her favorite. Most of the time she will ask mummy to fill the tub with water so that she can play in it.

Once mummy take off her clothes, she will bag me to quickly put her into the tub that fills with water. At the same time, mummy will throw in some bath toys. And, she will sit in the tub and play.

Anyway, it’s best that mummy go in together with Elizabeth. As she will stands up and starts walking too. I will watch her. Just to make sure she won’t slip. She will also hop into the tub even if it’s empty.
Somehow, the tub is high. And, she is trying to climb into it now if there is no one to help her. That’s very dangerous. In this case, I think walk in tub will be safer.

Bathe with Huggies Cleanteam

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 22, 2008

I think most kids like cartoon characters. So do Elizabeth. In fact, Elizabeth likes bath mates such as “Winnie the Pooh and friends”. May be it’s time to introduce her to some lovely new friends. 😉

Daphne Dolphin

Sammy Snake

Henry Hippo

Freddy Flamingo

Billy Bison

Carly Crab

Wally Whale

Together, they are the Huggies Cleanteam.

Elizabeth likes this short video. She will get close with all these friendly bath mates as soon as they arrived. As they arrived, it’s so easy for mummy to keep little Elizabeth clean too! Clean her hair, clean her body, clean her hands and her bottom! That’s really clean! 😛

Mummy just can’t wait to see Elizabeth smiles, laughs, dances and gets wet together with them in the bathroom. There will be wonderful bath time for mummy, Elizabeth and the Huggies Cleanteam. I can see that they will come in handy and make the potty training process so much easier too. Ultimately, they are mummy’s best friends too! 😛

That’s challenging

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 22, 2008

Elizabeth enjoyed being pushed around in her new bicycle. However, she still can’t ride it on her own. Thus, it can be boring sometimes. But, she really can make her life so interesting most of the time!

It’s a bit boring. Boring! Boring! Boring!

Oh, this is challenging! Let’s try! 😯

Oh! Look at my new trick. I made it! At least some fun!  😛

Mummy and daddy really have a brave girl, don’t we? That’s very challenging for us too! LOL!

No fun weekend

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 20, 2008

It’s weekend. But, little Elizabeth still got no chance to go out since yesterday. Mummy feels bad. But, yesterday mummy and daddy just can’t bring her together as we went to the hospital. Then, she was asleep while we were going out to dinner.

Daddy is busy today. He went for appointments. Since little Elizabeth enjoyed herself so much while hanging at the playground at Gurney Plaza, may be mummy should bring her to the playground later. 😉

She really had so much fun at the playground before! 😛

We will wait until daddy is free. Then, may be we can have better plans such as cruising along with one of the carnival cruises.

On the potty, please

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 20, 2008

Elizabeth “pooh” so many times today. From hard to soft and smelly stools, a total of 3 times until now. It’s such a mess! Elizabeth might seems a learned baby these days. Somehow, she is still a toddler. A toddler that never “pooh” on the potty. She still “pooh” in her pants most of the time. :S

She knows that she supposed to “wee wee” in the toilet. Somehow, she just won’t hold mummy’s hand to the toilet whenever she wants to “wee wee”. On the other hand, if mummy bring her to the toilet on time, she will “wee wee”.
That’s actually great! I think as soon as she can speak in words, she will tell when she wants to answer these calls of nature. But, when are you going to be ready for the potty?

I am on the phone

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 20, 2008

Elizabeth is such a big girl now, don’t she?

This little one was first running on the bed. As she grab mummy’s mobile phone, she stopped. In fact, I am sure you see her panting too. I guess it’s tiring for her after some running. 😛

Anyway, It’s wonderful to video tape this scene. Something mummy and daddy should not miss out! She is so cute while imitating the adults at home talking on the phone. This little chicky is always full of physical action and facial expression. LOL!

However, I am sure it’s even more entertaining if I know what she is trying to tell. In fact, I just can’t wait to create closed captioning for all her words and share the joy with all of you. 😛

Cut nails

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 20, 2008

I realized my girl had grown up a lot. Her long pants getting shorter. And, I still remember it’s quite hard to cut her nails before she turned 1. However, it’s so much easier now. I guess she started to understand that she might get hurt if she is moving while mummy was cutting her nails. 😛

Her nails grow so fast. Mummy got to cut her nails every 2 to 3 days. And, the scissors type nail cuter is exceptional useful. Easy to use and safe too. This type of nail cuter is specially designed to avoid us from cutting the little ones finger.

I better be hard working. If I don’t cut her nails, the long nails will cut her skin as she scratches her backs or legs. She scratches almost her whole body. Damn good at scratching!

Anyway, granny is still the one who always remember to cut her nails. Careless mummy! :(

Hello Monkeys

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 18, 2008

There were monkeys outside the house this morning. They were fooling on the big trees near my house. Elizabeth just woke up. But, she gets so excited to see them! 😛

There is a “mini forest” near my house actually. Thus, there is always animals around, just like a mini zoo. That’s good! As animals are Elizabeth’s best friends. 😛

Anyway, She really so excited! I know my girl is trying to catch the monkey. Actually, mummy should cut the tree trunks and grab the monkeys for Elizabeth! Anyone got festool? hahaha……

Shopping Queen

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 18, 2008

Since Elizabeth has recovered from her flu, mummy wondered are we going to shopping again this weekend? Even if it’s a window shop, my little shopping queen just won’t mind too! 😛

Last Saturday, Elizabeth was enjoying herself at Gurney Plaza.

LOL! Are you stepping on someone’s eyes? Look down, girl! Didn’t you see that big eye? hahaha……

This is colorful. Lovely! “Mummy do you want to join me?” (Yeah… Thanks to MAC make up road show. This is one of the colorful bean bags placing on the floor of its booth.)

My girl is a shopping queen. She loves shopping. Almost every week she will at least get a chance to visit one of the shopping mall in Penang.

Mummy and daddy like to see my girl smile and laugh while hanging in the shopping mall. She became very excited and active as she entered the mall. May be there is always so many things to see and touch in the shopping mall.

After all, kids learn when they see something. Elizabeth got a chance to feel whatever she touch too! At least not as boring as reading ABC. 😉

Good girl

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 17, 2008

Mummy absolutely believe that toddlers can be very understanding and tough. Mummy realized that as Elizabeth grow older, she becomes more understanding. And, she is definitely a tough girl since baby.

She always fall, but never cry for long. She did not cry and still playing happily even she is sick today. She even greets mummy with smile. Such a good girl! Somehow, she is very active.

She is busy playing with toys, hoping, dancing, climbing and running again after she took her medicine. That’s why mummy become so slim. But, it seems that my maid still need weight loss pills. LOL!

Obviously, she is over active but not hyperactive. At least, she don’t look sick anymore. That’s consoling! Overall, Elizabeth is a wonderful baby girl! Such a precious God’s gift for the family. 😛

Special MILO

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 17, 2008

Elizabeth is sleeping soundly now. As she is sick, it will be helpful if she sleep more. Bare in mind that sleep is always the best medicine for flu. As we sleep, our body get a chance to heal itself.

Besides, mummy is feeding Elizabeth with warm water within these 2 days. Somehow, warm water can speed up the recovery of flu. Anyway, she just took her Piriton. I think that’s the cause of her sound sleep. 😉

It took mummy almost half of the day to think of how to feed her Piriton. She hates medicines. She will spit it up immediately whenever she was forced to take medicines. As a result, mummy make her a little bit of delicious Milo. However, that’s not the ordinary Milo. There is 3 ml of Piriton in it.

Somehow, she finished the Milo. You really like chocolate drinks, don’t you Lizzy? 😉

Mummy should buy flowers

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 17, 2008

Elizabeth likes flowers. Like mother like daughter. Mummy, granny and baby Elizabeth all like flowers. Basically, most of the ladies like flowers too. Flowers are girls best friend. 😛

Thus, mummy planned to buy some flowers home while I went out for marketing this morning. As Elizabeth likes to have flowers in the house. Since she is sick, the flowers might cheer her up.

In fact, flowers have healing powers. Researches show that just by looking at flowers will change our mood. We feel happier with flowers around. Thus, flowers can be a healthy gift for patients. Besides, flowers like lavender, chamomile and blue lotus even contain healing properties.

Anyway, mummy was so careless. Mummy straight away drive home after marketing. I totally forgot about the flowers. :(

She needs medication

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 17, 2008

Elizabeth is still sick. As mummy saw her condition getting serious this morning, mummy quickly call her pediatrician. Then, mummy went to the hospital to collect the Piriton from the pediatrician at about 11am.

It’s always Piriton whenever she has flu. Mummy always try to let her recover on her own as it’s best to let our kids take less medicines. However, mummy just can’t see her suffer.

Finally, it left mummy no choice but to go straight to the doctor.

She’s learning

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 16, 2008

Elizabeth is so keen on learning recently. Thus, her daily activities will not limited to playing toys anymore. She starts learning a lot from the first words books. Anyway, mummy feel that she learn most from her educational videos such as Barney, Baby Genius and Brainy Baby.

As she likes the videos so much, she even developed the interest of operating the VCD player. And, she can almost place the CVD into the player on her own now. I guess soon she might even know what is the hdmi cables. Kids are so smart nowadays. We just can’t underestimate them, don’t we? 😛

I am tired, I need chair

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 16, 2008

I am quite tired today. No mood to laugh either. May be it’s because of the drops from my nose. That’s irritating! What to do? Just keep rubbing my nose. Gets off you sticky thing! :(

I keep sneezing too. That’s not fun at all! :(

Luckily I have the new rocking chair. At least I can lay down to watch TV in this tiring day. That’s better! Thanks, dad! :(

P/S: Sorry that the photos were so dark. As mummy forget to on flash light after turning it off to capture some food.

Old car

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 16, 2008

Elizabeth really had a great time with her one and only car. My maid used to tie a string and pulled her around the garden since she don’t know how to “drive” yet. We take turns actually.Sometimes, mummy was the one who pushed her around.

But, she fell from her car a few times. As there is no safety features to hold her. Luckily the falls were not serious. Still, it’s dangerous. Thus now, she spend most of her time in the garden with her new bicycle. It’s has great safety features. :)

However, mummy don’t feel like leaving the car at home anymore. It’s space consuming. But, used cars victoria will only buy the real used car. Absolutely not a used toy car. In this case, may be mummy have to give it away. 😉

She is sick

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 16, 2008

Yesterday, mummy was worried about Elizabeth’s swollen forehead. And, Ia m so glad to see that the blue black has totally gone. Looks like the rice is so powerful. 😛

When mummy thought it’s going to be a fine new day for Elizabeth, unfortunately she get sick. Poor girl! Mummy is still watching her. It has only the sign of flu at the moment. Nothing serious. Since medication is not advisable for light flu, I think I will just let it be first.

Mummy thought Elizabeth was quite strong. When mummy or daddy were sick, she is always safe. But not this time. Kakak is the one who passed the virus to her. In short, mummy got to be always careful and watch out for those who are sick. LOL!

More advertisements

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 15, 2008

Elizabeth likes to watch cartoons or educational videos. She loves TV. But, she can be very picky. She don’t really appreciate movies unless there are animals appeared in it. Somehow, She will be attracted by advertisements.

I think most toddlers enjoy watching advertisements. As I still remember that my brother used to appreciate advertisements on the TV too, when he was still toddler. As a result, my mum even recorded the advertisements for him.

Elizabeth also likes to look at the billboard by the road side. She gets even excited with digital signage. 😛

Smaller Bump

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 15, 2008

Mummy is glad that the bump on Elizabeth’s forehead is improving. The “bungalow” is now turning to “terrace”. hahaha……

Mummy actually keep on wrapping some hot rice in her handkerchief to left it on and lift it up from the “big bungalow” since last night. In this case, the heat from the rice actually encourages blood circulation. Thus, relief the blood clogged. And, quickly heal the bump.

We can choose to use boiled egg instead of rice. 😛

Elizabeth wants coins

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 15, 2008

My girl is interested with coins more than paper money. May be it’s more visible. Daddy always place the coins on mummy’s dressing table whenever he is at home. And, Elizabeth will try her best to reach them.

She will ask mummy to get her onto the bed. As the dressing table is placing side by side to the bed, she will lean on the table side as she climb up the bed. Then, she start looking for coins.

She knows that she is not allowed to pick up the coins. As mummy insists that coins are dirty. Still, she will stretch her hand out to reach the coins if she sees them. Toddlers just won’t follow instruction, don’t they?

May be daddy should put his remaining coins in some other places. Hide it. As she won’t look for it, if it is not seen. Mummy just want to make sure that she won’t fall from the bed again because of a few pennies. :(

Mummy is interested in coins too. But, not these pennies. I like US Mint Coins. That’s precious! Valuable! 😛

Fell from the bed

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 15, 2008

Oh, God! Can you make mummy more alert and make sure mummy manage to grab her next time. Please protect my girl. Mummy really can’t take it anymore! It’s terrifying to see her fly off and get hit badly as she fell down from the bed to the floor. 😥

She was about to sleep actually. We were rolling on the bed, kissing each other and laughing happily. Suddenly, she stood up. Running to the conner of the bed and stand by the dressing table as usual. I guess she was about to grab something on the table. But, she slipped.

Somehow, mummy was quick enough to get her. She was save. That’s the first time. Then, she did the stunt again later when “kakak” came in. She flew straight off the bed like being thrown out. Her leg get stuck half way. Thus, she came tumbling after. At last, her forehead went knocked on the floor.

What a tragedy! That was so hurt! She cried! Non stop for about 15 minutes. As she was terrified. Mummy’s heart was breaking as I see her so pale on the face and her hands and body was shivering a bit.

She is asleep. But, it’s not over yet. There is a big bump on her forehead now. Poor girl! Careless mummy! Hurtful baby! 😥

Buy Educational Toys

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 14, 2008

Do you buy educational toys for your children, especially toddlers. I believe in interactive toys. Thus, most of Elizabeth’s toys are those that so called “educational toys”. Anyway, we should find the interactive toys that suitable for our kids’ age group.

Also, music can be very stimulating. In my opinion, music has the power to stimulate our babies brain function. So, we should look for toys with interesting music. In this context, mummy likes “Leap Frog” so much!

I am amaze with the “Leap Frog” creative ways of music presentation. Somehow, it is so different from others. Very joyful! Something that can really make us dance. 😉

I am so glad that daddy bought the “Leap Frog” learning table for baby Elizabeth as her 1st birthday present. Very interesting! It’s one of her favorite. Besides, it is just as solid as billet grilles. 😛

Stop Roaring

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 14, 2008

Elizabeth is getting very fierce since last week. She will “roar” like tiger or lion when she gets mad. Mummy hates that! That’s irritating.

Obviously, mummy can see that she is a hot tempered type. Mummy is worried. But, what can mummy do to “tame” her? Anyone has any good suggestion? :(

Somehow, mummy must first stop “kakak” from roaring at her. Didn’t she understand that roaring back to Elizabeth whenever she did it first will make things worst? That will make Elizabeth think that it’s ok to roar like this. LOL!

Both “kakak” and Elizabeth! Stop roaring!

Sleep late but wake up early

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 14, 2008

Elizabeth can wake up so early in the morning despite always sleeping late at night. However, mostly she wake up to look for milk. She will go back to sleep after milk and wake up again around 10 a.m.

However, she can cry out loud until my mum or my maid always mistaken that she has fall down from my bed when she is hungry. LOL! Mummy got to be quick in preparing her milk. Thus, mummy starts setting up warmer in the room now. In this case, mummy can prepare the milk in advance. No more waiting! 😛

Mummy bought this warmer long ago before Elizabeth was born. And, never use it as she was breast fed at first. Now, the warmer came in handy. Looks like mummy did not waste my money from buying a bottle warmer. However, mummy still need another Loud Alarm Clock to wake myself up every morning if Elizabeth keep waking up for milk every night about 3 to 4 a.m.

Dig, Dig, Dig

Posted by Everyday Healy on April 14, 2008

Kids can be very curious. Elizabeth started to check mummy’s handbag, the plastic bags that mummy bring home form supermarket, hypermarket and wet market.

And, she will be very happy if she found something she is familiar with in the bag. For example, her “Mamypoko”, Bonmil or grapes. However, mummy is surprise that she can be cheer up by cans too, especially if she gets a tiny small cans.

What’s this? Mm! Just read the label first. 😛

See… I can shake it! It’s cute! I like red! 😛

Mummy think it’s all right to let my little princess dig around. I always let it be even it’s a bit mess up. Somehow, we parents have to understand that toddlers learn from touch and feel.
