Both are good

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 30, 2009

How about that? Cute aye? Cause that’s her favorite lesson — “Kinder Beat”. She called it “music class”.

Frankly, this lesson is not cheap. So let’s see weather it’s worth it or not.

Wow! That’s full involvement. And, she is very sharp in term of catching the rhythm, following all the movement very well. Thus, very worthy. :)

On the other hand, every time before we depart to her kindy, she will says: “Don’t want to go to school. I want to go music class. However, she is happily waving goodbye and surely got lots to tell at the moment she leaves the school. Hahaha……

And, that’s where she learn to socialize. Before she goes to school, mummy always see the message of “Don’t talk to me” from her face, when the aunties (other parents) in the music class try to talk to her. Totally unfriendly to strangers.

But, she was far too willing to chit chat with almost every aunties in the class this past Sunday. What a big step! Just 2 weeks in school, she becomes so much friendlier. Looks like she benefited from both places. ๐Ÿ˜›

Today is Cooking Day

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 29, 2009

Yeah… why blow? If anything is too hot, just put in some ice. And, normally she will go to the wall, pretending she is getting some ice from the fridge. Hahaha……

Mummy realized her imagination can run really wild these days. So cute! :)

Today, this little cheeky suddenly interested in being a chef. She has been cooking and making coffee for hours. Cooking with real beans, plastic materials and play dough since she came home from school, also after she woke up from her afternoon nap. As what we saw in the video, she even sing along. So enjoyable. ๐Ÿ˜›

How come suddenly so into cooking? But, it’s good! As this might mean there will be someone willing to cook for the family in the future, even without the maid. Well, as long as you are willing to cook, mummy promised the kitchen will be redesign anytime exactly as what pleases you. Be it glass tile, stained glass or granite. Hahahaha……

8th Day in School

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 24, 2009

Today is already her 8th day in school. She will keep shouting “Kakak… Kakak…” as kakak drop her in the car before we depart to school. Sometimes, she cried for daddy. But, it’s still “mummy… mummy…” after the car has moved. Hahaha……

Mummy knew she enjoyed schooling. As she never cry after school. Sh eonly cry for less than 2 minutes after she thought mummy has left. She is expecting to eat breakfast in school. She will tell what’s she doing in school. She will hums the songs she learn in school. She even take the lead to kiss her class teacher last Friday. ๐Ÿ˜›

Most importantly, she is getting less and less tantrum after school. Never have nightmares about school anymore. *Sigh* And, what did she learn in school? At least, she will let us tie her hair after the teacher did once. And, she started to tell before she “wee wee”. Not all the time, but more frequent.

However, she still don’t like to take out her shoes by herself. Well, this should be the consequences of having a maid to take care of the little ones all the time. :(

Innertalk for Elizabeth

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 19, 2009

ย

These โ€œWhole Brain Audio Subliminal Methodโ€ which carry the title ofย  “Successful Child” and “Genius Power” are from Innertalk. They are specially bought for my little princess.

So that good affirmations such as “I am happy”, ” I enjoy school”, “I am a good student”, “I like people”, “I can concentrate easily”, ” I learn easily”, “I do my best” , “I make friends easily”, “I am patient”, “I am attentive” from the title “Successful Child” will be input for little Elizabeth subconsciously and will help her to like her school life.

Just like an insurance. But, not the ordinary life or business insurance. It’s for her happy life, be it in school or at home with positive thoughts and attitudes. What do you think? After all, mummy really believe in the power of subconscious brain. It’s absolutely worth trying.

By the way, she started using it since Sunday. Nothing great has yet to be seen. Of course, mummy understand that this products need time to work well. So, just have faith. Wait and see. :)

3rd day in School

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 18, 2009

So, how’s the 3rd day in school? Woke up, get changed and waited at the door happily. Can’t wait to get down as the school teacher open the car door and greet her. Wow! Amazing!

So… “Bye baby! See you later!” mummy said.

“No! Mummy……” Little Elizabeth cried immediately.

The school teacher laughed and quickly carry her into the class. On the other hand, mummy stop my car aside and listened. After about 2 minutes, I leave as she stopped crying.

“Oh! I am sure you will enjoy your yoga class today. Have fun!” ๐Ÿ˜›

Mummy is right. She seems very happy after school.

By the way, Mummy actually buy her some “fancy name stickers”. And, she likes those with dogs. She said:” The puppy is so cute!” LOL!

What’s these for? At least something new for her to show the teacher. Might be a good trick to motivate her to go school. May be later mummy will even give her some stationery to give her friends. As she still don’t know how to make friends. Hehe……

2nd Day in School

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 17, 2009

She said:” Let’s go!”. And happily went into the car with smile. But, as mummy trying to leave her after she took out her shoes and walked into the class, she cried.ย  God bless! As it only last for less than 3 minutes.

Then, mummy called the principle in between the school hours.

“She is running happily in the playground now. But before that, she was looking for mummy. Every now and then, there will be:”Where is mummy?”. But, she seems ok. As she will stopped crying and listened to teacher’s explanation. Just she will still ask for mummy after that. I think she can take it. She seems understand. I think it’s ok to let her stay until 12 noon.”

Alright! So, mummy picked her up at 12 noon. She cried immediately when she saw mummy. But, stop crying once mummy carry her. :)

1st day in School

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 15, 2009

she is perfectly ok in her new school this morning, all by herself. Even though it is a totally new environment for her. Very good girl! Mummy is so proud of you, baby! ๐Ÿ˜›

This seems impossible, right? Thanks to the 2 weeks right brain development holiday program which lets mummy stick with her in the class for the past 2 weeks. That’s the trick which raised her confidence in schooling I guess.

The right brain development holiday program which actually organized by her music school finally ended last Friday. As you can see from the picture above, this little girl enjoyed the SI moments so much. Little Elizabeth just won’t mind sweating a lot. Those crawling, jumping, bouncing and walking really make her happier.

Just the opposite from mummy. Mummy would rather let a massage chair to do the work outs. And, has always think of the best diet pills first, if anyone around mentioned about loosing weight. Hahahaha……. You are a real heroin of mine, baby! ๐Ÿ˜‰

By the way, little Lizzy also benefited a lot from the “find the difference” sessions and speed flashing.ย  So, mummy and Elizabeth will join this program together again in July. ๐Ÿ˜›

And, mummy is kind of confident that baby will like this new school as much as her music class. As mummy can see that she likes the teachers here. At least you talked to them. In fact, mummy like their smiles too. ๐Ÿ˜›

Mummy… I watch TV

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 10, 2009

She knows that mummy is trying to stop her from watching TV. But, little Elizabeth is such a good girl. She never complain much or either show her tantrum as her TV time being almost completely cut out.

Just now, she was sitting on the sofa right in front of the TV. And, out of the sudden she said: “Mummy…… I watch TV!” Loud and clear. As mummy turned around from blogging on the computer, I saw her looking at me with her cheeky look and smile.

Guess what? Obviously, she was trying to attract mummy’s attention. And, surprisingly she is also using the right trick. This is absolutely one good example of how cheeky this little girl is. You really good at teasing people, my dear! Even at the age of 2. LOL!

Black Wednesday

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 10, 2009

Today should be a black Wednesday for little Lizzy. As she knocked her head once on mummy’s cheek while she was running towards me to hug me, then 3 of her friends in the class fell on her later in music session, yet her big toe of the left leg get hurt badly until bleeding as she accidentally kicked on the wooden table leg near the end of the program. All happened during the Right Brain Development Holiday Program in this morning.

Of course she cried. Poor girl! :(

Luckily, these are all minor injuries. And, she is playing and smiling happily again once she woke up from her afternoon nap about an hour ago. Just be more careful next time, ok? :)

I like all these Stories

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 9, 2009

Usually she wants to “read” on her own. She will only flip quickly, point to the pictures and learn from single words. Surprise! Surprise! This little girl enjoyed story time now. She will let mummy finished reading a few short stories for her in one shot. Sometimes, even one whole book of “Peter and Jane”.

Moreover, her reading time has increased to twice a day now. It all began since we leave the TV aside.

Also, thanks to these new interesting stories too which we bought in a secondhand bookstore. May be you are more familiar with wholesale computers. Yeah… That’s always a good bargain. So do these secondhand books. Still like brand new, but only sold at half of the original price. Mummy call this smart spending. Hahaha……

And, mummy especially favors the “Science Stories for Children”. As the stories are very simple, but incorporated with colorful pictures. Thus, interesting and informative.

By the way, looks like less TV really improved her attention spent. ๐Ÿ˜›

So many Horses

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 8, 2009

What’s the horse eating?

ย Daddy, next please…

And, she said:” Horse poop poop, cao cao (smelly in Hokkien).” when mummy showed her the horse stools. Hahaha……

Thanks to Penang Turf Club open days. At least, Elizabeth has an enjoyable weekend. At first, she said:” Go pet shop.” But, once she saw horses in the Penang Turf Club, she was happy with it. At least she get a chance to see the real horse carriage, pony, donkey and horses.

Little Elizabeth enjoyed the funny clown shows too.ย  However, it’s really hot. Thus, it just isn’t fun for daddy, mummy, grandma, and grandauntie. So, we went home without exploring the pony ride and horse jumping show.

In fact, Elizabeth cheeks were burning. So that’s enough. Let’s go home, baby!

Later, we visited the Penang International Flower Exhibition once again.

See… I am so sticky and tired.

Wow…Cool! At least I feel better. Not so hot anymore. ๐Ÿ˜›

She surely had fun spending some precious time together with her favorite grand auntie too.

Interesting but tiring Saturday.ย  ๐Ÿ˜›

Only some Movie Trailers

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 5, 2009

Since May, she was trained to live without TV. Of course, we will still watch a movie together once in a while. It’s just another family time. :)

Anyway, the training is quite success. She never ask for TV in the afternoon anymore. She will only spend less than an hour in front of the computer for some movie trailers and phonics programs. Yes! Movie trailers is a good choice to switch her from watching too much TV. As the trailers normally will last less than 3 minutes. Creative huh? Hahaha……

And, I realized there are also fantastic free learning programs for toddlers online. All of all, thanks to the internet. As we can buy books, food, fashion, almost everything, evenย ceiling fans online.

Also, thanks to your cooperation, baby! Mummy is so proud of you. ๐Ÿ˜›

Last month, she started to have her own friends at home.

“Pooh Pooh and Brown Bear, my friends. Elizabeth, Pooh Pooh and brown bear sit and play. ” She said.

Alright. Mummy understands that she need friends now. So, little Elizabeth has been joining a 2 weeks right brain development holiday program since the 1st of June. She seems like it. She never refuse to go. Mummy is happy for her.ย  :)

2 in 1 Kitchen and Stall

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 3, 2009

ย

Nice, aye?

The Kitchen side……

Right on the other side, we have cashier machine, weighting machine, and some coins.

We also bought this from Tesco. As you can see, it’s a 2 in 1 Kitchen and Stall set.

For the first 2 days, she was so happy. Busy cooking for everyone in the house whole day long. She also invited mummy to be the chef and she will be the customer. So, the whole game will be whoever ordered the food needs to pay the seller ( Yeah… need to pay as there is money in the set), which is also the stall’s owner and chef. Er… remember to collect the used plate, knife and fork , then wash them under the basin, ok? Hahaha……

But today, she just stop by the kitchen for less than 10 minutes. OMG! So, what’s next? Barbie doll? How about we just utilized what we have at home. Playing with the real things instead of toys. May be other role play?

For example, baby Elizabeth can become the beautician, and mummy will be your client. You can offer your client lifting massage, treatment for acne, whitening and slimming. Moreover, this time you will make lots of dollar notes while your client sign up for the expensive courses. No more coins. How about that, baby? Fun? Hahahaha……

What a new Toy

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 2, 2009

She has fully recovered from flu on the 30th of May. Just 2 days. She certainly grow stronger. :)

So, we went for shopping at Tesco on Sunday. As little Elizabeth said she wants to buy toys. See… daddy and mummy will always try our best to fulfill her simple requests. It’s good to let her make her own decision since young. So that she always know what she wants in the future. More goal orientated. Hehe…

And, even someone who is very goal orientated needs creativity and dedication or concentration to fulfill the aim especially in career.ย  Thus, we bought this.

Though that mummy can do it together with her and she will learn to fix it. Also, she shall be very happy to see this thing moving after we had complete the fixing. End up, mummy and “kakak” have to do the job. And, we are still cracking our head to complete it. Ha! Obviously, this is too hard for this little girl. Even for mummy and “kakak”, it just ain’t easy at all. Hahahaha……
