So Sleepy

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 24, 2008

You really got to watch this when you grow up, Elizabeth! 😛

Last Sunday evening, Mummy actually just changed for you and we are all prepared to go out for dinner. While waiting for “kakak” to get ready, you were watching Barney together with mummy. I know you did realized that you are going out, darling. So you keep stretching your eyes and try to open it wide and big as usual. It’s ok, honey! Mummy will always bring you out even though you are asleep. So, just have a good nap on mummy’s shoulder. Mummy will call you up when you we are there for dinner.

In fact, Elizabeth has a good habit. She will never cry or become moody if we wake her up while she was still asleep.Fantastic, right? How about a loud applouse? Hahaha…

So many Butterflies

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 24, 2008

Oh! Finally, I saw so many real butterflies flying in the air, and standing on the flowers. They are beautiful! They seems dancing all the time instead of flying. Shall I catch them? Oh! No? Alright, then I’ll just dance with them! :PElizabeth really had a great time at the Butterfly farm last Saturday. Daddy suggested we should visit it again since our girl like these butterflies so much! hehe…

Anyway, Elizabeth enjoy walking around this small farm. It is really a good place for toddlers to hang around. My little princess just can’t stop hopping for joy too until she was so tired. But still, she refused to go home. Oh! Please, baby. Let’s go home. Mummy will treat you with fantastic massage therapy, ok? 😉

Mumm feels great by getting a chance to educate little Elizabeth in such real and natural environment. She finally also saw the real turtle, squiral, scorpio, iguana, beetle, Japanese Koi, Mandarin duck and caterpillar too.

No more Baby Chair

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 24, 2008

Now, I no longer need baby chair. I have grown up. I want to sit on the same chair as mummy and daddy. I promise I will behave. 😛

Oh! How nice if little Elizabeth can make such a promise! Hahaha…

Somehow, this little naughty actually will sit down quietly if we placed her on the normal chair. Daddy will always stack 2 chairs together to make it higher. It’s just nice for Elizabeth to reach the table.

Besides, there is a trick. At the same time we can give her an empty bowl with spoon or empty cup with straw. So that she can play with them. She enjoys playing pretend. She will act as she is drinking or eating. If this trick is not good enough, then we will put some plain rice in the bowl or plain water in the cup for her. This normally work so well.

If it doesn’t work, then just let her down. Hahaha… Luckily I have Fia to take care of her.
Frankly, having a maid is really the best solution to get peace of mind as we have baby. LOL!

Sometimes, Elizabeth is very polite. She likes to clean the table for us too! 😆

My New Music Instruments

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 19, 2008

Can you imagine that this small yellow bag actually costs mummy RM 120 (About 40 USD)? I will show you what’s in it that makes it so expensive.

These are all the things inside this yellow bag. They are the tools for “Music Circle”. Elizabeth got it once she started attending her Music Circle last week. As you can see, there are CD, rhythm sticks, jingle and parent’s guide book. So, it seems that these simple wooden instruments are more expensive than the latest memory stick? 😯

Don’t feel shock. Mummy is just kidding. The cost of RM120 actually includes 4 separate packets like this. Each consist of different simple instrument, parent’s guide book and a CD. This is just the first pack. Which means it’s about RM30 each. That’s reasonable. 😛

Anyway, Elizabeth enjoyed the music and just keep dancing on her own way like what she did in the trial class. She can hardly sit down and learn. Surprisingly, she can remember some of the things that been taught in the trial class and start performing according to the syllabus during her first lesson.

Mummy is confidant that there will be improvement for the next lesson. :)

Go away Chicken Pox

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 18, 2008

These few days, uncle Bill is sick. His face is full of blisters. Mummy says:” That’s chicken pox!” Luckily Elizabeth is protected by the chicken pox vaccine. Anyway, doctor confirmed with mummy that after the vaccination, baby will only get very little blisters if infected by VZV.

Mummy feel relieved as mummy is going to bring my girl to KL for a vacation on the 27th. No sickness until that, please! Somehow, it is quite worrying that baby being vaccinated is at risk of developing shingles later in life. As VZV (the chicken pox virus) can remain inactive in nerve cells near the spinal cord and reactivate later as shingles.

It seems like this is an unavoidable once in a lifetime experience. 😯

And, remember to get a booster shot for your kids at 4 to 6 years old for effective prevention after the first vacination during their 12 to 15 months old.

Dancing at Golden Sand

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 14, 2008

It’s Saturday again. Daddy and mummy will surely plan something and get out together with our little princess every weekends, be it Saturday, Sunday or both. hehe…

But, Elizabeth seems enjoyed this Friday night too. Last night, we were at Golden Sand Resort. At first, she were quite clingy and shy. So, mummy and daddy were quite disappointed. We thought may be this place is not her cup of tea. :(

Later, she did keep herself busy with the stairs.

Ultimately, She even dance along with the music in the middle of the crowd. 😯

Oh, I love parties! More party invitations, please! :)

Lovely! So, that’s our girl! Active! Joyful! And, just can’t stop dancing! 😛

I am going to School

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 14, 2008

Finally, mummy had decided to let her join “music circle”. It’s a toddler music course from “Musikgarten”.

Basically, the exposure of early childhood music will:

  1. Immerses the child in language
  2. Evokes movement
  3. Stimulates the brain
  4. Fosters physical co-ordination
  5. Develops self discipline, co-operation, concentration and listening skills

Frankly, mummy hopes that little Elizabeth can achieves great development in the areas that being mentioned in No. 5. More discipline, willing to follow instructions and co-operates well. That’s important. Best if she can learn it before she attend Kindy School.

Also, Mummy knows how much she loves music. So, let’s kick start your journey of being a future musician and dancer, my dear! Hahaha…

Wan Tan Mee, please

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 13, 2008

Elizabeth don’t really like ice cream. Mummy wondered why? I thought ice cream should be the kids favorite? Anyway, that’s fine. After all, ice cream is nothing nutritious. On the other hand, it’s fattening and the chemicals in it are actually harmful to our health.

Instead of ice cream, she ate lots of “Wan Tan Mee”. Even her 2 other cousins around her age loves “Wan Tan Mee” too. So, this is the real kids favorite, I guess! hahaha……

This is one of the most famous “Wan Tan Mee” in Penang. Yum! Yum! Elizabeth just won’t stop asking for it, not until she saw the plate was empty, whenever mummy and daddy brought her there.

Oh! This is even more fattening, my dear! Looks like somehow you are going to need Phentermine in the future. hahaha…

Build N Roll Xylophone

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 13, 2008

Elizabeth loves music and anything that can create sound. And, she is really creative. She will beat her own stomach if you ask her where is your drum. hahaha…

Anyway, she had destroyed her small Xylophone long ago. Now, mummy replaced the new Build N Roll Xylophone for her since few weeks ago.

This is the educational wooden toys that has quality craftsmanship and non-toxic color coating. It’s quite expensive, RM 100+. But, at least Elizabeth hardly get cut by the sharp ends from lousy workmanship. Also, she won’t accidentally ate the coloring with its safe coating. Mummy feels safe and at ease. 😛

Elizabeth loves it so much initially. She was so excited to see the balls rolling down from each level. But, she started to get board after 2 weeks. LOL!

At least, mummy has seen her trying to put other things on the “rail” and experimenting weather they will move down or not. The answer is no. Only round balls will. She seems get it. She also learned to catch the balls which flowing half way down from the rail. 😛

She loves to drop and roll the balls on the floor too. May be because by doing so there are sounds. Also, initially she can only hold on one ball. Now, she can play with 2 balls at a time. Besides, she even knock 2 balls together to create sound. However, the Xylophone does not appear attractive to her.

Anyway, she also learned that she is not supposed to simply throw the balls as they hit her head once or twice.  hahaha……

I am a Winner

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 12, 2008

Did you hear my maid shouting:” Cannot! Cannot! Cannot!”? But, she just keep climbing. Slowly but Steadily. Surprise! Surprise! Little Elizabeth managed to walk up such high stairs all on her own. Fantastic!Last Sunday, we were still at Eastern & Oriental Hotel for a while after our lunch. Why? Cause little Elizabeth wants to play! 😛

She was running around the seaside corridor chasing after other kids while daddy and mummy were having our lunch. My maid were watching instead. Then, we all walk into the lobby again after we made a few shots outdoor.

We got to stop moving once this little princess spied the stair cases. Immediately, my little princess insisted to step on the red carpet as she supposed to. hahaha…

She really had so much fun! She even show it off, waving and laughing joyfully to her daddy who was sitting below, while she was high up. But, it’s truly well done! If you are in a toddlers stair cases climbing contest, then I think you certainly deserved a trophy or engraved plaques, my dear! 😉

Too Bright

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 11, 2008

Last Sunday, we were enjoying our lunch at E & O Hotel. Mummy and daddy didn’t really enjoy the food there. Baby likes the potato chips though. 😆

Elizabeth enjoys wide spacing and windy environment especially with water around, be it fountain, sea or pool. So, She did enjoyed herself at E & O. Running here and there non stop! Looks like beautiful and comfortable environment is also very important for toddlers.

Anyway, mummy and daddy had a great time too. At least, mummy managed to take photos together with my darling girl. So happy! 😛

Baby, Smile please! 😛

Still too bright, mummy! :(

Anybody switch off this terrible bright light please? hahaha…

Frankly, mummy and daddy seldom take pictures together with our little princess. Mummy is always busy snapping baby alone. And, daddy don’t even bother to touch the camera. Again, he said: ” That’s mummy’s job.” :(

Let’s play Pretend

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 10, 2008

Elizabeth really has grown up a lot. At this age, her imitation skills is fantastic! She can play pretend by moving her mouth signaling she is drinking water from an empty cup. She will also pretends to pick up food with fork and spoon from an empty plate and chew it in the mouth. Cute! 😛

Sometimes, she will pick up the vacuum brush and pretends she is cleaning the room like what the maid always did.

She can even “read” the menu.

Oh! What order should I take? hehe…
She can even feed her daddy now! 😉

Oh, dear! Daddy must be very happy. Soon, she might even learn how to spend. Good luck, daddy. Anyway, do you want to find out more about the 0 balance transfer in advance? Better get prepared! hahaha…

  • Dog
  • Duck
  • No

  • Throw
  • Ball
  • One
  • Two
  • Star
  • Bye

Not bad. All together 10 words. But, non of it was “mama” and “papa”. 😥

Mummy seen vast improvement on her language development since last week. Half of the vocabularies were actually spoke out in last week. Looks like this cute little one finally starts speaking. 😛

I am 18 months Old

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 5, 2008

Now Little Elizabeth is 18 months and 1 day old in exact.

Yesterday, we celebrated. But, it’s doesn’t seems like a real celebration at all. Mummy bought a piece of chocolate banana cake for the “birthday girl”. Yeah… It’s cake. No lolly pop. Lolly pop is bad for teeth! That’s what I learn from Ghorn. 😉

Anyway, Elizabeth don’t really enjoy eating that piece of chocolate banana cake. Oh! My dear, I though you like chocolate and banana? 😯 Don’t worry! Only mummy will need acne treatment after eating too much of chocolate. Not you, baby!

Actually, Elizabeth loves chocolate and banana. But, mummy forget that she doesn’t like cakes. hahaha…..

Never mind. We just forget about the cake. What’s next? Er… Since daddy is home earlier…

Ops… Make sure you can take it out later. 😯

I told you! 😛

At last, baby enjoyed herself so much in the pool with her be loved daddy! At least some fun! :)

Barley is good for health

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 5, 2008

Mummy did boiled some Barley drinks for Elizabeth when she get fever 2 days ago. For your information, Barley drinks is good in cooling down our body and help to relieve fever. It is also helpful to the kids who suddenly feel the pain when “wee wee”, let go too little or can’t “wee wee” due to heaty body system.

Basically, most of the paed will take this condition as uterus infection. Just try Barley drinks in conjunction with all the other medications from the paed. After all, there is no clash. 😛

In fact, most of the elderly Chinese believed that we should give our baby Barley drinks once in a while to cool down their body system, especially for baby who is still drinking milk.

Lolly Pop or Cake

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 3, 2008

Elizabeth started eating candies since 15 months old. She started with Ribena Pastilles. Few weeks ago, she came across lolly pop in a buffet dinner. She loves it! Tomorrow is her 18 months old birthday. Should mummy buy her lolly pop then?

But, mummy is afraid that she might get addicted. Lolly pops or candies are like drugs to the kids. They can easily get addicted to it. Worst still, there is only drug rehab for real drugs or alcohol addiction. It ain’t easy for mummy to find the help if Elizabeth get addicted to “sweets”. hahaha……

May be a piece of cake? She don’t really like cakes. But, that’s when she was much younger. Her taste is changing slowly. May be she will loves it now. Since cake is perfect for birthday, let’s have some cakes, baby! 😛

Cheap and Good

Posted by Everyday Healy on June 3, 2008

Yesterday, Elizabeth had slight fever. Luckily she is alright now. No medicine. Mummy just let her drink more water. And, keep monitoring her with the useful Liquid Crystal Forehead Reusable Thermometer.

I bought this to try after I break part of the old expensive infra red thermometer. In my opinion, this is so much better than the infra red digital thermometer. It is unbreakable and provides fast and accurate results too. It is also space saving in terms of storage and very cheap (About RM 8).

Regarding baby fever, medication is not necessary if it is not high fever ( > 39 degree). It is helpful if mummy keep swapping her body. But since it is only 37.5 degree, lazy mummy just ask baby Elizabeth to drink more water. LOL!
